If you have never trained in the martial arts before and are looking to try something new, get in shape, learn self-defense, and reduce stress, traditional Karate is a great place to start.

We have a laid back, but disciplined dojo; a safe training environment; friendly teachers and students; and we want you or your child to succeed.

We teach traditional Karate in a methodical, time-tested way that will help develop the confidence, strength, coordination, and balance required to achieve success in the martial arts.

If you have trained in other martial arts before, some feedback that we have received from some of our students compared to other arts is that they have learned superior body dynamic, better ways of making power with their body, better applications of traditional technique, and creative and inventive drills to continually learn and improve.

To begin training with us, simply give us a call or email us to setup an appointment for your first class. We will go over our training schedule, tuition, dojo etiquette and outline the beginning of your training plan.

Tuition
We offer reasonable training rates on a monthly, 3-month, 6-month, and yearly basis, and discounts for families.
Please contact us for more information and to schedule an appointment to try out your first class for free.

Single sessions and private sessions are also available.

ISKA Membership
Our Dojo is the honbu dojo (head dojo) of the International San Ten Karate Association and we ask that all students pay annual member dues to the ISKA.
For 2020-2021, the annual dues are $35 and can be paid online or through the dojo.

Other Karate Seminar Trainings
The ISKA and other local and national organization host many special training opportunities throughout the year. Some are posted on the links below.

Uniforms
We wear a standard traditional white karate uniform or do-gi. Beginners usually choose to start with a light to medium weight do-gi and after a period of time purchase a heavier weight do-gi for more durability. Beginning do-gi usually come with a white belt. Higher quality do-gi usually do not usually come with a belt. We have some do-gi for sale at the dojo, but you may wish to purchase your own elsewhere.

Medium Weight Karate gi: $45
Heavyweight gi: $100 and up

We also recommend the following gi manufacturers:
Tokon
Mugen
Hsu
Tokaido
Hirota
